The changing room

Sitting down to this properly tonight.

Somebody said I looked well and it landed like an indictment of every year before.

A difficult month when customers commented.

Clothes shopping was worse, not better. I sat in the car afterwards for twenty minutes.

Strangers are being different with me and I hate it. I do not have a tidy thought about this. I just hate it.

The mirror shows me what it has always shown me. Nothing about that has shifted and I had half assumed it would.
