What is unremarkable about today?

Quiet, ordinary and unremarkable, three words I would not have applied to my life in 2023.

Eighteen months steady. My Wednesdays are just Wednesdays.

The same shopping, the same walk, the same Tuesday.

It looks like having a project-shaped hole in my life, which I am still adjusting to.

Nothing much looks like a cup of tea at the same time every evening and a walk if the weather allows.

Nothing much is my favourite kind of week and it took me a year to be able to say that.

It looks like having enough energy to be interested in things other than my own health.

It looks like not thinking about it. That is genuinely all it is now.

It looks like this box, once a week, for two years.

Boring, and I mean that as praise.

Nothing much and I nearly did not write it down, and then I remembered how much I got out of other people's nothing much.

Appetite signals came back in an odd shape and we have settled into a working relationship.
