Body and symptoms
Thyroid
Two sets of bloods, two sets of questions.
A great many members have a thyroid condition, and the overlap of symptoms is unhelpfully large: fatigue, hair changes, cold hands, low mood, weight change. Working out what belongs to which is a real task, and it needs bloods rather than guesswork.
We also handle the medullary thyroid carcinoma and MEN2 question honestly, because it is on every leaflet and frightens people, and because the useful answer is a specific conversation with a prescriber about personal and family history.
Who this circle is for
- You have hypo- or hyperthyroidism and are on treatment
- You have a thyroid nodule or family history and want to understand the questions
- You are trying to work out which symptom belongs to which condition
Agreements here
- We do not interpret anyone's thyroid results for them
- Family history questions go to a prescriber, not a circle
